About the Event
The ASPIRE event will be held over two non consecutive days commencing with an open day to showcase its services and programmes.
The open day will include a tour of the centre, and a mini service provider Expo attended where possible, by representatives from government organisations, non government agencies, local community groups, recreational clubs, small local business and volunteer groups.
Event guests will have the opportunity to engage with representatives on a one to one basis, gathering information about services on offer. In particular, the Expo will focus on increasing awareness and education on avoiding and/or addressing feelings of lonliness.
Guests will also be encouraged to participate in a presentation, workshop and video viewing, and contribute to a 'Have Your Say' activity. The 'Have Your Say' activity will aim to capture current and future needs and aspirations for the community and its residents. The first day will conclude with a health and wellness session.
The second day will provide interactive 'Try It Out' experiences including computing, crafts, story time between seniors and children, wood work and outdoor games.
